After many years, we are resuming the Lights and Shadows of Plastic Surgery programme. The series of conferences carried out in the last years of the 20th century and at the beginning of the 21st century. New edition of the programme will be addressed primarily to the experienced plastic surgeons and oncological surgeons.
Our objective is to transfer knowledge at the highest level in the form of surgical workshops and scientific conferences. We intend to organize such meetings twice a year in spring and autumn.
Our workshop will be held on the 24th-25th of May 2024.
The workshops previously organized in our clinic showed the attractiveness of the form consisting in the exchange of experiences between experienced surgeons.
Lecturers and surgeon-operators not only present the latest issues in a given field, but are open to participants’ comments and discussions.
The formula “we convey knowledge, inspire and learn from others” has proven itself well, which encourages us to continue our programme down that road.
The sum of the experiences of all participants adds up to the value of such workshops. Discussing difficult cases will also become a regular part of the meetings.
We will encourage each participant to prepare at least one such case.
For practical reasons, the number of participants is limited.

Jerzy Kolasiński, M.D., Ph.D.
Specialist in plastic surgery and general surgery
Jerzy Kolasiński is the pioneer of hair restoration surgery in Poland.
He is an active member of the Polish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Jerzy Kolasiński has written over 250 articles, book chapters and presentations on plastic and aesthetic surgery.
He organized a number of conferences and plastic surgery workshops in Poland and around the world.
In 2018, he was the first Pole honoured with the prestigious Platinum Follicle Award for a significant contribution to the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery development and achievements in the field of hair restoration science and education.
In 2020 he was honoured with “The Best Case Report – Gold PAPER” awarded by the largest plastic surgery magazine in the world – Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – Global Open for a publication on an innovative method of breast reconstruction.
Privately, he has been practicing gliding for 50 years, repeatedly representing the country, being the champion and vice-champion of Poland and its record holder.

Author and co-author of many works delivered and published in renowned Polish and foreign magazines, devoted to the subject of hair restoration surgery and aesthetic surgery.
She is the co-author of the PZWL Chirurgia Plastyczna [Plastic Surgery] book published in 2019.
Privately, she is passionate about golf.

Currently, he is the head of the Plastic Surgery Department at the T. Marciniak Lower Silesian Specialist Hospital, and he also cooperates with the Kolasinski Clinic and the Dubai London Clinic and Hospital in the United Arab Emirates.
He gained his experience, among others in Abu Dhabi at the Mediclinic Hospital and at the Plastic Surgery Department of the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk Poland.
In 2018, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the imaging the tissue in reconstructive surgery.
Author and co-author of numerous scientific works in the field of plastic surgery.
A member of the Polish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Emirates Society of Plastic Surgery and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Privately, he is passionate about water sports.
